Wellbeing connects to all aspects of an individuals life and since we spend most of our time working, it is essential that we feel happy and satisfied in what we do so as to avoid it impacting both our physical, mental, emotional and even spiritual health. Supporting Studies on Reiki in the Workplace
There have now been a number of studies conducted which support the use of Reiki in the workplace.
A compelling study researching the effect of Reiki on perceived stress among 120 software professionals in Bangalore, India shows that hands on Reiki and distance Reiki reduces perceived stress as compared with the control groups. The benefit of hands on Reiki and distance Reiki are proven to be effective with only five minutes of healing per day over a short period of twenty-one days. The results of the study demonstrated that Reiki can be used as a very effective treatment in relieving stress. How Would Treatments be Conducted in my Workplace?
A short Reiki treatment can either be conducted at the person’s desk, or simply in a quiet room with a chair or space to set up my treatment bed for a more private and relaxing experience. Treatments last for around 30 minutes, but can be less if required. The recipient then only has to relax while hands are gently placed on or around their head or body.
